What is Islam?
Islam is creed teaching from Allah brought by Muhammad as moslems
leader, at 7th century.
Creed is a system of belief, principles, or opinions.
Muhammad is a military, political, and Islam leader of Arab, teaching Islam
as a historical phenomenon. In history of Islam he remain in Mecca and
start to teach Islam in Mecca. Resident and leader of Mecca become to fear
to his teaching and start to menace and maltreat him and his follower.
What's happen then? As a result he migrate to Madinah, place that people start to trust the religion
taught by him. The migration of Prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Madinah in
Islam history represents the starting points of
Islam Calendar. Muhammad and his
follower later return to Mecca and express the jihad, or holy war, after he
conquer the city.
Islam history started since Adam because taught by Islam
message, that is submits to one God (tauhid), shown in two creed sentence, expressing that there is
no god but Allah, and Muhammad is Allah's courier.
Moslem suppose that Allah revealed the Qur'an as word written from
Allah to Muhammad as last prophet of
Allah, and place the Qur'an and Sunnah (words and behavioral of Muhammad as
Qur'an complementing and assist the interpretation of Qur'an) as
source of Islam guidance.
