1) The Testimony of Reliance:

The testimony of reliance is saying with conviction, “La ilaha illallah, Muhammadur rosuulullah.”  This saying means “There is no true god but God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God.”  What is the most important pillar of Islam? In five pillars of Islam, this testimony is the most important pillar of Islam.

 

2) Prayer:

Muslims perform five prayers a day.   Prayer in Islam is a direct link between the worshipper and God as the second pillar of Islam.   The Prophet Muhammad said: "Bilal, call (the people) to prayer, let us be comforted by it.". Prayers are performed at dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset, and night. How to pray in Islam? There are set prayers which Muslims should say and they should face Mecca in Arabia when praying and should wash before they pray.

 

3) Giving Zakat (Support of the Needy):

Giving zakat is considered a form of worship to God.

 

4) Fasting the Month of Ramadhan:

The month of Ramadan is the month of fasting in Islam.

 

5) The Pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj):

All Muslims, if they are able, are to make a pilgrimage to Mecca. It involves financial sacrifice and is an act of worship.  Muslims must make the pilgrimage the first half of the last month of the lunar year.
